Same Day Availability
It is the policy of Sandpoint Family Health Center to see our patients in a timely manner. Our goal is to be available to our patients and for those with acute issues to see them same day.
Family Health Center knows that you can't always wait days or weeks to be seen so we offer same-day appointments for urgent care needs such as acute injuries or illness. This allows our established patients to be seen by a physician who is familiar with their health and avoid a costly urgent care or emergency room visit. We will make every effort for acute illnesses to be seen as soon as possible.
Examples of acute illnesses are:
- Injury that occurred today/yesterday (not an old injury from weeks ago)
- Stitches
- Sore throat
- Strep throat
- Bronchitis
- UTI and/or Urinary symptoms
- Cough
- Sinus infection
- Ear infection
- Upper Respiratory Symptoms
(If patient has a positive COVID or Flu diagnosis within last 5 days they CANNOT come to the office – Video visit only.)
Same-day appointments are not usually for chronic issues such as diabetes, medication refills or wellness exams. We do our best to accommodate your busy schedule. Same-day appointments are not for medical emergencies.
